Oh that post went viral years ago. And I’ve had multiple viral posts since then. Crucifix Nail Nipples is the most infamous one. (I’m so tired, help)
I realize the first sentence there might sound really pretentious and blasé, but once tumblr has taken your life multiple times over, called it fake, harassed the people involved and tried to hunt down your former place of employment to ask if the vampire nipple novel was real, you sort of stop being able to feel anything other than “flat” over it.
That’s really awful…. I also just can’t fathom getting so up in arms about a personal post on the internet?! Like, who cares if it didn’t actually happen? It’s an entertaining and amusing antectdote, and that’s all that matters.
People get really bent out of shape over things. And even when I’ve produced proof of things in the past, there’s still people who will go out of their way to find ways to explain how your proof is fake, and you can tell by these three pixels here it’s a photoshop and blah blah blah blah blah. I have given up trying, it’s just better for my mental health to accept the fact that there are some people for whom reality exists only within their own acceptable if somewhat bitter parameters.
